Description
Echo Lakes is a great place to get away from the Lake Tahoe Climbing crowds. It consists of 118 climbs spread out among 12 small classic granite crags among the Ponderosa pines. Flagpole peak is the only extended climbing in the area and has some classic alpine-like climbs. The smaller areas are almost always free of people -- mainly because it requires a couple mile approach around Echo Lake.
